Abstract

The present study analyzes the importance of neuroscience in meaningful learning and in the formation of teachers of Youth and Adult Education. It highlights the challenge of how the teacher uses neuroscientific knowledge in meaningful learning. The objective was to expand the reflective look of the teacher, with neuroscientific knowledge for the development of contextualized pedagogical practice. The approach adopted was that of qualitative research, with the strategic procedure of the bibliographic study. The results showed the teacher's formative need to observe neuroscientific knowledge; considers experiential practice to be important in ensuring the quality of meaningful learning; strengthen the specificities of EJA as elements of citizen formation.

Antonio Amorim, UNIVERSIDADE DO ESTADO DA BAHIA-UNEB

He holds a degree in Pedagogy from The Nove de Julho College (1990), a degree in Special Training in Mechanics from the State University of São Paulo Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1978), a Master's degree in Education (Curriculum) from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1991) and a Doctorate in Psychology from the University of Barcelona (2002). He holds a Post-Doctorate in Knowledge Dissemination, through the Multidisciplinary and Inter-Institutional Doctorate Program of the Federal University of Bahia (2017). Full Full Professor at the University of the State of Bahia, working in undergraduate and graduate education. He was director of the Department of Education of Campus I of UNEB twice, when he implemented the Master's courses in Management and Technology in Education and the Professional Master's degree in Youth and Adult Education. He also implemented in his management the Doctorate in Education and Contemporaneity. In the undergraduate area he implemented the courses of Social Sciences and Psychology. He was twice Pro-Rector of Undergraduate Education at UNEB. He was President of the International Collaborative Research Network in Education and EJA, which brings together more than 20 research groups in Brazil and abroad. He was a full member of the State Board of Education of Bahia. He is an elected member of the Bahian Academy of Education. It has more than 20 books published and organized, with dozens of scientific articles published by the main scientific journals of Brazil and abroad. He is President of the Research Group: Organization, Management, Technology and Public Policies in Education with registration in CNPQ. He is an educational consultant working in the areas of public policies, evaluation and school and educational management.
