The media influence in the social imaginary on the black body in Revista Raça

Abstract
The objective of the study is to make an analysis of the statements contained in the magazine Raça and how this magazine promotes the valorization of the black body in the fight against racism and the processes of racial discrimination. The Methodology was qualitative of the interpretative type, carrying out research in the publications of Revista Raça, the selection of the magazine for analysis was due to its high degree of publications on the black theme and its acceptance in the market. An instrument was reading and selection of texts from the magazine that promote relations with the black body and its social relationship, a sample composed of 02 magazines from different years to have a wider range of interpretation. The analysis of the removed text was based on the analysis of the speech. Results, a recurring issue is the idea of physical vigor, something constant within social thinking about black people to ideas that only activities related to physical capital are the most prone to the black community, ”the only black faces closest to the executive suites of Hollywood are those of security guards ", The difficulties for the acceptance of blacks in different fields and media spaces (newspapers, magazines, television, cinema)" Entering this medium is not easy, especially for a very young and black girl ". Final considerations the fight against racism is something constant and prevalent within the black community on different fronts of resistance and confrontations, leaving the media field a fertile place to develop and call society to the debate.
